What is Remote online notarization (RON)?

RON is the process of notarizing a document remotely through electronic signature, ID verification and audio-visual technologies on a secure platform. The process is quick and easy, in most cases, only taking 10-15 minutes. I send all the information you need to get ready and signed onto our online session.

These do require the following:

  • A laptop or desktop computer with camera and audio. A tablet or cell phone works as well.

  • A strong internet connection.

  • Valid ID

    For mobile signings, I cover central Illinois.

  • I prefer payments to be made via Stripe.

  • Yes. I work by appointment so I can give each signing the time and attention it deserves. Same-day appointments may be available depending on my schedule.

  • No. I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice or draft documents. I can only notarize completed documents.
